I am happy to say that I have had a relaxing day today. I slept in, took a walk with my headphones, spent quality cat time, and watched the Paranormal State marathon. A good day.
My stress level is very low today....almost to the point of sleepy. Is that because I have been on such a stress high that normal feels comatose? Today is just the eye of the storm, I am ready though. Now that I am older, this kind of work stress is much easier to handle. I am taking what I can get in regards to relaxation. Looking forward to brunch with J and F tomorrow.
My cousin S is getting married today in a small ceremony in Washington DC. I am so happy for him and his new wife D. They will be off to Italy to continue the celebration. I have telepathically sent good wishes to them (Facebook wishes were also sent). They will be having an after wedding party in May so the rest of the family can celebrate with them. We are all really looking forward to it. We had a great time at cousin D's wedding in November. I think this party will be just as fun.
There is still small possibility that I won't be able to go to the party because of work. G will definitely go. I have been trying to push management to figure out what my role is on "go-live" weekend. If I don't have to be onsite then I will go. That doesn't mean that I will be off. I will have to have Precious with me as well as my laptop. That is the name of the game. (I hear some of you saying "Tell them to suck it!" That is much easier said than done. I am in integral part if the implementation. ) Time will tell!
A couple of small tid-bits:
1. Got my new Teva's! I ordered 5 new pairs this season. (and NO I didn't get rid of any old ones). I now have 11 pairs. Stop judging! They are comfortable!
2. I just picked up Jen Lancaster's "Bright Lights, Big Ass" from the library today (Finally!). I have been on the waiting list for about 3 months. My library system only has one in circulation. I don't understand it! I am still waiting for her first one "Bitter is the new Black."
